The transfer of these services is the latest step in Accomplish’s growth strategy, and comes about as Embrace has taken the decision to focus more closely on its core services – the provision of care and support for adults and older people in residential settings and specialist support for children and young people.
The acquisition is part of an ongoing programme that has seen Accomplish focus on businesses that share their culture and commitment to quality. In 2015 Accomplish acquired Brookdale Care, a specialist residential care provider for individuals with Autism, and as a result became the largest provider of support for people with Autism in the sector. In October 2016 Accomplish acquired specialist Acquired Brain Injury provider New Bridges, further expanding its specialist footprint. Embrace and Accomplish have chosen to work together on this transfer, as Accomplish has over 25 years of experience in this specialist area, and is ideally placed to ensure the services continue to thrive in the future. Communication is ongoing with all stakeholders, from the individuals supported, their families and staff members, to commissioners, regulators and other stakeholders, to ensure all parties are kept fully up-to-date on the transfer process. Chief Executive of Accomplish, Peter Battle, said:
“This is a very exciting acquisition for Tracscare and we were delighted to work with the Embrace team to bring this about. We have had huge success at helping people live more independent and fulfilled lives and the scale of Supported Living services acquired will greatly benefit our ability to develop this further. Acquiring another specialist residential ABI service will also complement our recent acquisition of New Bridges. These specialist services will join a family that is fully committed to the shared principles of building quality and enabling the people we support to live fulfilling lives.”
Trish Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Embrace Group, said: “Our priority throughout this process has been to ensure the people supported at these services, their families and the dedicated staff teams benefit from a smooth and seamless transition. “We have been working with the Tracscare team for many weeks to bring this to fruition, and are confident these services will continue to thrive under their new ownership. “By taking this proactive step to focus more closely on our core services, we are confident Embrace will be in an excellent position to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead in the health and social care sector.”
