Samantha Jones started her career as a paediatric and general nurse before moving into operational management. She led two NHS Trusts as Chief Executive; worked nationally leading the NHS England programme protyping the future models of care before leading the largest NHS primary care provider in the UK for Centene Corporation. In 2014, Samantha was voted the Health Service Journal’s Chief Executive of the Year.
In April 2021 Samantha became the Prime Minister’s Expert Advisor – NHS Transformation and Social Care before taking up the role of interim Permanent Secretary – No10 Downing Street before leaving Whitehall in December 2022.
She is a Non-Executive Director of the Department of Health & Social Care.
Samantha works as an Operating Partner for G Square and chairs Keys Group.
